Meet Dr. Jai Bhimani, MD

Dr. Jai Bhimani, MD, is the Medical Director and CEO of Bluegrass Kidney Consultants and American Kidney Center of Louisville and Madison and has called Louisville, KY home for the last 14 years. Dr. Bhimani completed his Internal Medicine internship at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr Bhimani has extensive experience in Internal Medicine and built a successful private practice in Georgia, where he spent over 10 years of his career. He then made the decision to follow his dream of owning and operating his own practice, with the model of always putting patients first. With this dream in mind, Dr. Bhimani came to Louisville, completed his Fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Louisville and opened Bluegrass Kidney Consultants with his now partners in 2009. He has extensive training in all aspects of Kidney disease, including: End Stage Renal Disease, Kidney transplant, Chronic kidney disease, Hypertension, Hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis. Dr Bhimani is passionate about his patients and the care they receive. Dr. Bhimani is married with has two grown children and when he is not working, he enjoys golfing, fishing, flying, and volunteering to educate the public on kidney disease awareness.
